HHS Department announces it will be administered free of charge for the elderly.
The Department of Health and Human Services announced this week that the yet-to-be-approved COVID-19 vaccine would be offered free-of-charge to elderly Americans under Medicare. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services also announced that it would be working hard to coordinate the distribution of the vaccine.
Medicare Administrator Seema Verma clarified that she was confident that some legal questions about Medicare being the distributor would not be an issue. She said, “I think we’ve figured out a path forward. It was very clear that Congress wants to make sure that Medicare beneficiaries have this vaccine and that there isn’t any cost-sharing.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- That the HHS Department would be successful in bringing about good health outcomes for Americans.
- For God to give Administrator Verma wisdom as she leads her department.
- For the president’s administration as they seek an end to the COVID-19 pandemic.
